Late last year the Cabinet of Ministers passed the electric car charging tariff at 169 piasters using a 22 kW/h alternating (AC) current and 375 piasters for the 50 kW/h direct (DC) current.

Porsche’s Taycan has an 83.7 kW/h battery that costs 141.5 EGP using a slow charge and 315 EGP using a fast charge. Its range is 385 km.
The i3’s 37.9 kW/h battery costs 64 EGP using a slow charge and 142 EGP using a fast charge and its range is 320 km.
