If you’re a Marvel lover then you must be waiting impatiently for the next installment in the Marvel-verse franchise after Spider-Man: No Way Home which was a huge box office success and grossed more than One Billion dollars globally.
Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes out in theatres on 6th May but before you go see it you may want to watch the following movies and TV series first. Before we delve into the Marvel-verse here is some information about the new Dr. Strange movie:
Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the sequel to the original Dr. Strange (2016) and will open the door to a whole new multiverse with both old and new characters.

1- Dr. Strange (2016): you can’t watch the sequel without watching the prequel. You won’t understand anything, and you won’t enjoy the movie as much you could have. The prequel introduces Dr. Stephen Strange and how he transformed from a top neurosurgeon to a Master of the Mystic Arts.
2- Avengers: Infinity Wars (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019): Dr. Strange featured in both movies as he battled Thanos the Mad Titan alongside the Avengers.
3- Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021): the third movie in Marvel’s Spider-Man this is a must see before you watch Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Where Spider-Man: No Way Home ends Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness begins.
4- WandaVision (2021): one of Marvel’s TV series, it revolves around Wanda Maximoff & Vision’s life in suburbia, and it explains the shift in Wanda’s personality in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
5- Loki (2021): this TV series follows an alternate version of Loki post the New York battle with the Chitauri, the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D as he fights to protect the time stream. The end of the season hints towards possibly having Loki in the next Dr. Strange movie.
6- What If (2021): another Marvel series, this animated anthology series explores the multiverse & alternate timelines. One of the characters introduced in the series features in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
