Due to the Covid-19 pandemic most concerts and live events were suspended. As the quarantine restrictions increased event organizers were faced with a dilemma: how can they make a profit while at the same time follow the public health guidelines set by the government? The public health guidelines limited the number of attendees per event which led to tickets becoming more and more expensive, the event organizers had to make a profit after all.
But now that the guidelines and restrictions have lessened greatly as more people are getting vaccinated there is no longer a limit on how many people can attend an event. Cinemas and theaters are now back to operating at 100% capacity. Concerts and live events are now plentiful, and tickets are getting cheaper. This however presents another problem, how are we going to attend all these events without going completely broke?!
Pick the event you want to go to the most: you don’t need to go to every single concert or live event you fancy no matter how much you may want to. You can afford to miss events for artists who tend to have many concerts/events every year but the ones that only happen once in a blue moon? Definitely go!
Save a portion of your income every month: you can save up part of your income and set it aside specifically for any event you may want to attend. You can even do this by setting aside any change you may have in your wallet at the end of each week for this purpose.
Take advantage of Early Bird discounts: most big concert organizers will have “Early Bird” prices on sale on their websites for advance buyers.
Find out who the sponsors are: most sponsors are usually big cable companies, radio or TV stations, or big brands and some of them will offer special ticket prices on their official websites for the general public or their customers. Some sponsors even have contests on their social media channels for free tickets.
Choose an event where there is more than one artist/act: events with more than one act or artist are usually cheaper than single artist events. They are also more organized and of a higher quality as any delay could cost the organizers huge amounts of money.
