The upcoming Egypt vs. Senegal match for the world cup qualifiers will take place on the 24th of March 2022. The winner will then ascend directly to the world cup competition.
There are 10 African national teams who have reached the 3rd and last round of the qualifiers. Throughout March the 10 national teams will play off against each other in 5 matches and only 5 teams will qualify for the world cup. The final draw between 32 national teams is scheduled for the 1st of April 2022 in Doha.
Egypt was in the same group as Gabon, Libya, and Angola, and managed to come on top after playing 6 matches. Egypt won 4 matches and tied in 2 others with 14 points. The first match in the qualifiers was against Angola on 1st of September 2021. And the last was against Gabon on 16th of November 2021.
The Pharaohs and the Teranga lions will face each other in the 3rd and final round of the qualifiers next march between the 24th and 29th of March. The home game will take place in Cairo and the away game will be in Dakar, Senegal’s capital.
Egypt’s national team qualified 3 times for the world cup while Senegal’s national team qualified twice. Both teams qualified for the last world cup final that took place in Russia in 2018.
The Senegalese national team has a market value of 343, 150 million euros while the Egyptian team has a market value of 161, 250 million euros.
